Q. You have over 19 books to your name, which is fantastic. When did you first publish your work? Was it self or traditionally published?
It was actually self-published at first. I published my first book in 2010. It was a literary fiction/poetry anthology titled Express Café and Other Ramblings. I went on to publish two subsequent literary fiction/poetry anthologies, all of which will be revised and re-released as Miss Lavender’s Anthology of Ramblings. So, look for that as a future release.
Q. So some of your work is traditionally published – how did you manage to get picked up by a publisher or agent?

I won the 2015 PnPAuthors Contest for poetry! My winning poem, “Lovers Like Us”, ended up in an anthology with the other participants, but I got the first page. How awesome is that? 😉
Poets & Writers in Action is comprised of both poetry and short stories. A few other writers that made it into the anthology were Deepak Menon, Robin White, Terry Gilbert, Raven Wilkie, Vinita Singh, and several more.

I just learned some pretty awesome news!
On August 2nd of 2014, I found out that I was nominated for the BTS Red Carpet Review Awards. 
Well, just a few moments ago, I learned that I made Honorable Mention in my genre category. The official announcement happens at the awards ceremony in July. Yay!

Before I could finish this book I was calling and texting my friends to recommend this book. From the awesome attention to detail to the dips and turns I love this book.
